Turkey Talk #3

Today's turkey talk is about table decorations...actually...place cards.  Not that we have ever really needed place cards at one of our family dinners...it has come in handy a time or two when we have had extended family and friends join us for festivities. And then it becomes a habit...what table decoration will we use this year????  So here are a couple from the distant past to share with you...
This is one of my favorites...the pilgrim hat
To Make:
black card stock for the hat's brim
tiny terra cotta flower pots spray painted black
gold satin ribbon
small bird feather
gold pen
hot glue gun

Both sides of the traditional Thanksgiving story have been represented at our Thanksgiving dinners...here Chelsea is sporting an Indian headdress which was a table decoration made with brown leather, bird feathers, and beads!

This year I am thinking...thinking...still thinking about the table decorations...but I am leaning toward little white pumpkins since I will be using my grandmother's blue and white china...we shall see!
