A New Home for the Conrads

I have attempted about 5 times to sit down and blog...but it is kinda like,...where do I start? Do I act like a month hasn't gone by and just pick up from here??? Do I go back and try to get caught up in chronological order?  Or do I just log off and go do something else???  The girls want to see SOMETHING...ANYTHING...so today some pictures of David and Nicole's new house...

They moved into their dream home on May 12th...

It has great "bones" which includes four bedrooms (that must mean more grandchildren:), a study for David, and a finished basement which gives Nicole a sewing area, Claire and others a playroom, and with a half bath it can be a guest room in a pinch!
They have been getting settled in and doing some furniture shopping in the last few weeks.  I went up this week for a couple days to do some shopping with them and to see Claire!!

Here is a peek at the progress thus far...

The kitchen is spacious and has white cabinetry and granite...both on the wish list.  There is a big deck out the back door that looks out over their "back 40"  Layla (the dog) loves it!!

The dining room had only this antique dresser (which was Nicole and David's dresser in the old house...but with all of the doorways and windows in their new bedroom it didn't fit!) now a sideboard or buffet it looks beautiful!

The trestle table and chairs with all of the details and distressed wood looks great and I think I heard dinner party in a conversation :)

The buffet lamps are from Target...39.99 (shades not included)!  We were very excited about this because as Nicole says "lamps are so stinkin' expensive!!"

Now for a couple of peeks at the upstairs...

The master bedroom has been painted blue and looks beautiful...minus the chest of drawers (my grandma used to call big tall dressers that)!!

The kids' bathroom upstairs features  the very hungry caterpillar!

Claire loves her new room and began having tea parties immediately!

While mom and dad were out doing some errands we explored the yard and found...

A beautiful hydrangea and a bumblebee

A gardenia shrub and sand toys in the rock garden

The line in the driveway that Claire should never cross!!
And her bubble wand!

So, here's to summer fun with tea parties and bubble wands...just take note of those lines that you should never cross!
