From the time Kate was little she wore a cheerleading uniform for the the Florida State Seminoles...honestly, she would have voted for Bobby Bowden for president back then :)
Katelyn's freshman and sophomore years in high school were consumed with cheerleading! You might think that cheering is a two season sport...Football and Basketball...IF ONLY!! Cheerleading starts in March or April with one very long week of tryouts! Immediately after the list is posted there are uniform fittings and practice schedules and parent meetings and fundraising. School is finally out...just in time for longer practices before a week of cheerleading competition camp! Then comes the one month break! Two weeks before school starts the practices begin in earnest and the pictures of the new squads are done.
Back to school and football season...and practices...and pep rallies...and fundraisers...and homecoming...and more practices...and basketball games for both boys and girls teams...then sometime in February comes cheerleading banquet! And then it starts all over again!! Kate stuck with it for two years and was a captain her sophomore year...but in the end she decided she wanted to do other things in school besides just cheering!
Here as a freshman she is practicing before a game...Flying was not her favorite thing!
Kate's Birthday!
Sophomore year leaving for camp!
