The Simple Things

Just got in from a weekend at Carillon Beach...We got there Friday night at sunset....

Katelyn was working so Rich and I chilled and caught up on our new favorite show...

Now that we are into the third season I have to say that Coach and Principal  Taylor may be the most authentic couple I have seen on a television show...like...ever!

On Saturday morning we rode bikes over to Rosemary Beach where they were having a cute little fall festival!

Yea...he's cute but we have to be careful about encouraging him too much ; )

We had lunch at The Summer Kitchen

...And managed to talk Rich out of some lovely yard art...just kidding!

It was one of those picture perfect fall days in the south...

Eventually we made our way back to Carillon...

Back at the condo...It was time for some football...WAR EAGLE!

This morning we went to church and then back to the condo for some more

R&R...which is code for a 2 hour nap!  Not Kate...she dashed back to town and after a trip to Michael's made yet another model of an animal cell!

We ended our weekend at Carillon by taking Gabby for a walk around the lake...where she joyfully stalked the ducks...and Rich and I enjoyed the scenery

Now back to the real world. You know...the one where the laundry needs done!

Random Thoughts for the End of October

How did October get away from me? 

There was the quick trip up to Birmingham to hang out with Claire...

Gabby had her annual vet appointment...she needs to lose one pound...which in the world of a yorkie is a lot! Maybe she only needs a haircut!!

Rich and I walked the bridge one night at sunset...very pleasant...but probably didn't count as exercise!

I did some fall decorating...

Kate and her friends enjoyed carving pumpkins!

We attended a costume party as the Queen of Hearts and the Mad Hatter...I look at this and think...why?

Katelyn hit the submit button for her college application to Vanderbilt...

We went to see Steel Magnolia's at Kaleidoscope Theater...my cousin Sue was fabulous in the part of Claree...pictured here at a recent rehearsal...

Nicole and Claire came for a weekend visit...we enjoyed tea at the newly opened Willows...

A stroll through downtown Panama City...

As always...Pop enjoyed every moment!

And we continued to root for Chelsea's AUBURN Tigers...the latest #1 team in the BCS poll!

Golfing...

Rich and his parents scheduled a golf date on Thursday afternoon and I tagged along to drive the cart and take some pictures...

October Ramblings...

Claire went shopping with her Nana last weekend...OMGosh...I think her new jean dress matches mine!

You can't see the rolled up sleeves or belt in this picture but I'm thinking it's a match!

The month of October is dedicated to the SAT...the ACT...and college applications...
